TIGNALL, Ga. - Mr. Lindberg Bradley passed away December 25, 2009 at his residence in Tignall. The funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Tignall, Georgia. In state from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Lockhart officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Bradley was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late John and Viola Wynn Bradley. He and his wife Pecola moved to Washington, D.C., in the early 1950s where he worked in the construction industry. The family returned to Tignall in 1983. He joined Shady Grove Baptist Church in 1988 and was ordained a deacon in 1992. He was elected to serve as chairman of deacons and provided many years of dedicated service. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Pecola Bradley of Tignall; his children, Shirley Ferguson, Glenda Johnson, Emma and David Jefferson, Lindberg Jr. and Tracy; four sisters, Lorena Brown, Ann Lindsey, Maeozia Miles, and Eldora Mankins; four brothers, Howard, John, Dewey and Willie; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
