Mrs. Barbara Ann "Barb" Phinizy
Mrs. Barbara Ann "Barb" Phinizy, 81, of Augusta, Georgia entered into rest Sunday, October 22, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from Harmony Baptist Church, 930 Hopkins Street, Augusta, Georgia, with Reverend Dr. Woodrow Miller, Jr., pastor-officiating, Reverend Antonio Smith , presiding. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens, 3666 Deans Bridge Road, Hephzibah, Georgia. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon until the hour of service. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Wanda Renee (Jerome, Sr.) Mitchell; one son, Carl Wesley (Gloria) Phinizy; grandchildren, Jerome (Shanta) Mitchell, II, Jawandalyn Mitchell, Karrah Phinizy and Cardia Phinizy; two sisters, Frankalene (Abram) Dunn and Betty Jean Harris; one brother, James (Bertha) Hill; and a host of family and friends.
