Mr. Larry L. Rea - 62, passed away June 2, 2011 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Family and Friends will gather in teh sanctuary of St. James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 2:00pm. Interment River Rest Cemetery.

Brother Larry Lathon Rea was born May 26, 1949 in Flint, Michigan. The son of Allen and Ira C. Rea. Larry was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School, Class of 1967, and obtained a Bachelors in Business. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Larry retired from General Motors. He was a giving, loving and caring servant. He enjoyed singing, missionary work, acting at McCree Theatre, and was a faithful member of St. James C.M.E. Church. Mr. Larry Lathon Rea leaves to cherish his loving memory, three children: Makelia Thompson of Wilmer, TX, Raquelia “Kellie” Rea of Arlington, TX, and Suhn Rea of Irving, TX; father: Allen C. Rea; twin brother: Lonnie L. Rea of Flint, MI; three sisters: Gwendolyn Rea, Cynthia Caster, and Alvida (Kevin) Cross all of Flint, MI; five aunts: Louise Ray, Gertrude Lathon, Ivy Mae Williams, Joyce Rea all of Flint, MI, and Rochell Lofton of Chicago, IL; uncle: Ernest Rea of Flint, MI; mothers of his children: Janieve Sheila Sanders, and Cynthia Buford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends including: Carol Scott, Gwen Bean, Jo Langston, Zachery Baskin, Milton Thomas, and Sister Barbara Stein. He was preceded in death by his mother: Ira C. Rea, grandparents: Clyde and Bertha Lathon, James and Della Ray, brother: Allen C. Rea-Hill, sisters: Sharon Lewis, Paulette Rea, and Avis Marshall.
