HARRIS, Mrs. Karen J. (Drummond) - Age 60, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Genesys Hospice in Goodrich, MI. Family hour 10:30AM Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM, Dr. Henry L. Fuller, Jr., officiating.  Interment River Rest Cemetery, G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Tuesday. Mrs. Harris will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-8PM Monday.   Ms. Karen Jeanette Harris was born on June 24, 1948 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Theresa (Hunter) Drummond and Iverson Drummond Sr. Ms. Harris confessed her allegiance to Christ at an early age at the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Karen currently worshipped at Christ of the Nazarene Church. She attended Flint schools, graduating from Flint Northern High School. Karen attended John Wesley College and retired from General Motors. Karen loved to read, travel and have a good laugh with family and friends.  Ms. Karen Jeanette Harris leaves to cherish her memories: 2 sons, Michael J. Harris, Jr. and Darius (Jamika) Harris; mother, Theresa Cousins; four grandchildren, Michael III, Nyonia, Dakari, and Aniyah Harris; four brothers, Iverson (Bennita) Drummond, Roy (Monica) Haney, and Kevin Haney, all of Flint, Loren Drummond of Indianapolis, IN; three sisters, Terry (Herbert) Hoey and Kimberly Davis, all of Flint, and Lisa (Samuel) Lee of Grand Blanc, MI; brother-in-law, Henry Polite, of Flint; very dear friend, Diane Lachota and the Maple Rd. residents, and staff; and a host of other relatives and friends.  Ms. Harris was preceded in death by her father, Iverson Drummond, Sr.; daughter, Tamiko Harris; sister, Linda J. Edwards; and grandparents, Frank & Estelle Hunter and Amos & Abelle Drummond.  The family would like to express special thanks to the Maple Rd. Home and Genesys Hospice of Goodrich.
