Mrs. Barbara Ann "Barb" Phinizy, 81, of Augusta, Georgia entered into rest Sunday, October 22, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from Harmony Baptist Church, 930 Hopkins Street, Augusta, Georgia, with Reverend Dr. Woodrow Miller, Jr., pastor-officiating, Reverend Antonio Smith, presiding. Interment will be in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens, 3666 Deans Bridge Road, Hephzibah, Georgia. The remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon until the hour of service.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Wanda Renee (Jerome, Sr.) Mitchell; one son, Carl Wesley (Gloria) Phinizy; grandchildren, Jerome (Shanta) Mitchell, II, Jawandalyn Mitchell, Karrah Phinizy and Cardia Phinizy; two sisters, Frankalene (Abram) Dunn and Betty Jean Harris; one brother, James (Bertha) Hill; and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
